Early Learning Principal

 

I have served as the Early Learning/4K Principal for Stevens Point Area Public Schools since fall 2013. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from UW–Stevens Point and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Marian University.

Before moving into this leadership role, I worked as an instructional leader and taught grades K–6, which gave me broad experience across elementary grade levels. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with the district’s youngest learners.

I firmly believe all students can learn and grow, and that maintaining high expectations for every child is essential to their success. Building a strong foundation in early learning—especially in social‑emotional learning (SEL) and early academic skills—is critical. Intentional, play‑based instruction strengthens that foundation by fostering engagement and supporting whole‑child development.
