Early Learning Principal

 

I have been the Early Learning/4K principal for the Stevens Point Area Public School District since the fall of 2013.  I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from UW-Stevens Point, along with a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Marian University.

Prior to my current leadership role, I served as an instructional leader and gained a well-rounded experience teaching in grades K-6.  Having taught at various grade levels, I feel fortunate to be able to work with the District's youngest learners.

I firmly believe that all students can learn and grow, and that maintaining high expectations for every student is essential to their success.  Building a strong foundation in early learning is crucial, particularly in both social-emotional learning (SEL) and academic areas.  This foundation can be strengthened through intentionally planned play-based instruction, which fosters engagement and promotes holistic development.
